Katherine Heason lives near Whitley Bay, only a mile from the amazing golden-sanded stretch of coastline between Tynemouth and Whitley Bay. She writes about her local area, and her writing (so far) is set in the real world, but with a sprinkling of fantasy and magic – because she wants to give readers something different and unexpected.
She’s a single parent to her gorgeous and often mischievous son; Charlie. You can read about his exploits in her “Adventures with Charlie and Roo” books. Katherine and her son have lots of adventures together and love the outdoors. They have a campervan called Daisy and like nothing more than parking next to a body of water and taking the paddle board out.
When not writing, Katherine works as an automation specialist for a large telecommunications company in the UK. She’s also a treasurer for two charities – one a local adventure playground – the only one of it’s kind in the North East of England. The other a charity that she helped setup, and is a founding member of, which supports solo adopters in the North East of England.
